Is the sample a loop or a one-shot? For a one shot a trick I do is increasing the track bpm before I place the sample, then lower it back to normal after I put in the sample, this slows it down. For the opposite just start with a low bpm, place the sample, then raise it back up. This does affect the pitch aswell though, and for a loop I'm not sure. I don't use much samples so I can't be of much help with that. Sorry man.

I built my own lol it runs an i5 4440 with a gtx 970.
