Hey! Those string loops you asked about are from a trck called "Mama" on a CD compilation called "Flying Funk". I forget the artist but I'm sure you can look it up. Lot of great tracks on there! I edited the samples in Audacity & tried to keep them as unidentifiable as possible, even cutting some of them short a couple of beats to change the rhythm, so as not to infringe on copyrights, I hope.
I like to use samples purely as sounds, not as part of the song structure, if possible, so I try not to capture any easily recognizable part of the original melody. I'm always really glad when they're being put to good use. Enjoy! =)
