Levi was introduced to electronic music at a young age. In 1992 he began experimenting with synthesizers in his uncle's studio after being introduced to the sound of Vangelis. In 1994 he attended his first warehouse party... Later, as part of the Insurgent Recordings Collective (Austin, TX) Along with DJs Rebel, Right-1(Antisocial) and Ram-Z, Levi helped set up a string of invite-only renegade parties that helped establish Insurgent Recordings as a driving force in the Texas underground. Starting in 2000 with their first party "Cedar Fever".The spot was tucked away in a forest preserve at the edge of an industrial complex...and remained unseen and unheard by the local fuzz. Addicted to the rush and vibe that came with throwing illegal parties, they continued once a month thereafter. in 2002 Levi relocated back to Chicago where he was part of HouseSexy, a weekly at Vision. Now with partner Dj Casanova as Soul Design theyve released on Sugar Shack Recordings, Galactic Voodoo, Hi! Reaction and Electronic Friends Music. Stay tuned, more is on the way...
