Lyrics

Verse 1

Yo, I’m from the D, where the blocks stay gritty,

Caddies on dubs cruisin' through the Motor City.

Paint drippin' wet like the Belle Isle breeze,

Wrist froze colder than a Michigan freeze.

Hustle in my veins, yeah, I’m built like that,

Chasin' cheddar every day, gotta stack that pack.

Ain't no cap, dawg, I was raised in the struggle,

Turned my pain into muscle, now my chips do the shuffle.

Chorus

This Detroit grind, man, it’s all I know,

From the 8 Mile line to the downtown glow.

Keep the game tight, yeah, we move real low,

While the speakers in the trunk let the bassline blow.

Verse 2

Big whip rollin’, cruisin’ down the block,

Old heads posted up, still watchin' the clock.

Every dollar counts, gotta get it for real,

Hustlin’ hard just to cop that meal.

Pockets growin' slow, but I’m steady on the grind,

Keep my crew solid, leave the fake ones behind.

D-town pride, yeah, it’s tatted in my soul,

We shine through the struggle, turn the pain into gold.

Outro

Yeah, it’s Motor City made, hustle in my genes,

From the red bricks to the riverside scenes.

Keep your head on a swivel, that’s just how we play,

And if you ain’t from the D, better stay in your lane.

  • Aight this kinda hit now

  • honestly not bad at all, better than what I can do haha

Try to mix ur vocals better tho, but remember, it all starts with recording so maybe get a better mic too :)

    • XD

    • OHHH ye that might be the problem more than the mixing lmao

    • oh that might be it, cuz i just finished remixing my vocals again this is like the 4th time, this is the best one but you might be right about the mic im only using 7 dollar earbuds to rec LMAO, but im not serious about it im just having fun.

  • kinda sound like juice wrld

    • tbh its a bit compressed it sounded way better before but the file got a lil compressed so oh well

    • How lmao, but its an absolute honor if thats true

  • bells repetive

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

    2 more
  • the beat is tight, but yeah what they said abt the vocals

  • damn sir u cooked

    4 more
  • decent

    like the lyrics

main set back is the vocals quality

a solid beat to go along with it.

    not bad 👍

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

    • mhm ill try doing more later on

  • Not bad my boi filoy

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

  • if I'm honest, its pretty good, definitely get rid of the reverb on the vocals, let them vocals ring, if there yours, you have a lot of potential, so show it in your music, I can tell you have a talent, but you need to let the vocals ring without the reverb, I suggest use the preset on Bandlab Clean Rap.

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

    • Ight bet

  • i think its alright, its just the beat is kinda basic and repetitive, needs a bit of punch and variety

needs a good, bouncy 808 imo

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

    • hmu if u need help

    • I gotta make my own beat next time then

  • this goes hard :>

    • Does it sound better, i did some more mixing.

    • 😎

  • bro the next prodigy

  • ‎ ‎ ‎

  • damn this is lit

  • do some research on vocal mastering

also make sure there are distinguishing features to the track,

I feel like this would benefit from adding and removing drums and melody and bassline at least

you should give the vocals more breathing room too.

the best advice I can tell you is pt more variety

    • nah i like honesty more

    • yep, anytime

just know that when you come to me with a link dont expect a favorite, expect brutal honesty

I know you can do better. I looked at your other stuff

    • thank you for being genuine i appreciate it
