yeah cool man! I'd recommend putting in some time practising your drums, building up your layers and stacking percussion and stuff, just to help fill it out more. Some advice i heard a while back (mainly applies to bands but eh it works with production as well) is, 'your band is only as good as your drummer'. Once you know how to lay down p h a t beats you'll notice a significant increase in the quality of your tracks :)
haha yeah i know little to anything myself but i feel i've progressed a lot from like 4/5 months ago kinda saved many pieces into documents to refer to so i can stay on top of a few things as well
good man thats what we like to hear! And you'll pick stuff up the more you practise with it! When i first started out i knew nothing about production, didnt know a kick shouldnt have reverb, not to fuckin boost a bass to like 12dB, not to put detune on a snare or kick or whatever, it all comes naturally the more you pursue it :) Thats cool tho man, cant wait to hear these experiments :)
way ahead of you bud been looking into a few projects by many trying to utilizes certain sounds (still have no clue what i'm doing half the time lol) but i feel fairly confident in my new stuff that's being *cough cough* produced but it will be some time till i release them :)
