Of course, the majority of the instrumental was arranged in Soundtrap (the guitars, piano, and violin). But man, I did so much better with mixing than I usually do!!! I spent so much time trying to make sure nothing clipped without cheating via the limiter, and I did it!!! HELL YEEEEAAAAAH!!!!!
This song was a concept I came up with when thinking it would be cool to make a theme song for one of my all-time favorite characters (Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda), with lyrics which would double as just a regular relatable song.
All the lyrics, vocals, and instrumental arrangement are my own original stuff. I just wanna clarify that EVERYTHING is original, because I didn't realize until later on in making this song that it sounded a bit similar, in a way, to another existing song I know... welp.
I feel a lot better about my vocals and their quality for once, normally I call them crappy but now, I think they're just amateur haha, maybe even a little better than I'm giving myself credit for. Thanks to the full day I spent working on them (help), I'd say they're much easier to listen to than usual. I am wondering if they're a bit too loud though, can someone let me know?
Holy crap, dude I'm so sorry I forgot about our collab. I have a tendency of doing that a lot, I feel bad that I probably got your hopes up for nothing. I've been struggling to make music again lately, but once I'm out of this struggle, I hope we can get going on it again.
Can't believe I dropped one of my personal best songs related to Tai Lung not long before the KFP4 trailer dropped and I'm getting to see more of Tai Lung now, I feel like I've summoned him lmaooo
I'm not gonna lie, when I was recording my lower harmony, I had thought of you and your voice and wondered myself what your voice would sound like with this.
