bish best way to learn is read comments and listen there is Mixers gold all over the place i like to break into peoples houses and steel their equipment if i like a sound they have that is .... ( open file by clicking remix and seeing how they got a sound ) then of course a lot is to be said for Twisting knobs and pushing buttons :) and finding sounds by accident :)
seeing as you are going to be goin up against some heavy hitters i would polish the mastering up a little and add a Very Catchy new melody to Compliment her Existing one
i would also Spread the Vocals with a chorus pedal i you can get a clean vocal signal with out the Music in the back ground :) but that's just me :) its a great start but there is a ton you can do to this as far as sound design to really stand a prt from the crowd.. i normally dont give critique unless asked :) its really not my thing but you asked :)
