Just, you know, a minor thing going on here.
I'm kidding. This was SUPPOSED to be that huge draft I had cooking in the background. Every single bass and synth you hear, aside from a single melody synth, was made from scratch by me. Private samples are my personal drum library.
If Audiotool ever gets a performance update, I'll finish this. But for now it stays because the lag is so bad that I have to let it play the whole drop before I can stop it. The amount of time it would take to finish this with a clean mix/master is just too much to ask for.
Kudos to @Client [Hiatus] for their helpful feedback and @A3TRAL for the additions they made to the vocals.

what's weird is that basses for me actually don't really cause lag. It's mainly midi and chords that cause major lag for me

Well, it's actually the main bass chain that sources all of the lag. So copying to a new draft wouldn't exactly work, I tried 😂

FR, I have a modded Thinkpad with i7 swap and upgraded ram. But rn I'm running a Asus Vivobook Intel pentium chip, the gpu crashes when I change tempo in the studio sometimes if I've been using the internet for aw hile without restarting the pc
