Cortiona, a realm that is assumed to be truly random, contains life. Living creatures know change, they have to know it. They experience it every single day. In fact, living creatures cause change as much as they experience it. If not for themselves, then also for others. Cortiona is a source of a kind of energy which enhances life and can even give life to anything. But to use it, you must know what change is, how to cause it, and how to adapt to it.
The discoverer of Tau Energy, Lopeji, was a young farmer. He met the love of his life, Kolura, one day as he was tending to his crops. She watched him work for an entire year before he noticed her. Kolura was beautiful to his eyes, and he invited her to help him. They had so much fun together, spending half of another year with each other. But one day, a war broke out. Kolura had been taken captive by the enemy, and hadn't been seen for days. Lopeji found her dead in a forest near his farm, and knelt beside her corpse, weeping. He brought her back to his farm, and prepared a grave. There were no one else to make a grave for her, as she was an orphan. However, Lopeji couldn't bury her. He thought of all of the joy she brought to his life. In his head, his memories showed him all of the changes that had happened in his life, as well as all of the changes he made in his and others' lives. A particle of light appeared before him, and he grabbed it with his right hand, and examined it. It felt like life to him, and he knew what to do. Change was the way of life, and he was about to make another change. Kolura grabbed the particle from his hand, a motion that was not hers. Absorbing it, Kolura regained life. Ever since then, they had been living happily. Life was change, and change was life, so they watched as their children grew, watched as their grandchildren grew, and their great grandchildren. Kept alive by the energy Lopeji discovered, they lived on and on, until they felt that it was time to go. They stopped using Tau energy and waited for their age to catch up.
