Personal Observation
_I tend to crowd too many instruments into a small region of frequency (particularly, lower frequencies, esp. bass / sub-bass) whether it is through the main frequency placement of EQ-ing similar to high-end cutoff. Thus, most of my mixes sound dull and muddy. It's as important as the other two dimensions, and where I tend to fall short more than the others. Taking the time to understand what is going on and what to do have really helped to counter this issue. Also breaking some bad habit of mine that would typically kill the height of my mix. I am gonna need a ton of time to master this. Lastly, but not the least: I NEED TO LAY OFF THE REVERBS!! They can ruin the height of a mix easily if over-used._
