In major need of a retouch up on the sound design. Obviously, the other thing is mixing. I feel like the majority of decent audiotool tracks suffer from those two. You're ideas are fine. I don't have many complaints about the drums. But, so I am not like every other idiot who says "needs mixing" and leaves it at that (I kid I kid audiotool. You know I love you.), you need to 1) make use of sidechaining, and 2) listen to how different styles of music (professional tracks) are EQed.
3) Learn to take advantage of the Quantum Multiband compressor. As I've sadly had to explain before, a multiband compressor is not just a regular compressor. There is more than one band. If you want to sidechain, use gravity. The Quantum Multiband compressor is a pretty good mixing helper that can refine the sound and basically "polish" it up. Sorry that was a lot, but I only had 300 characters.

, perhaps you could break some of the repetition with a lead. Some more chords could help too. If you got really out there (like a long solo that spanned most of the track) with the lead, perhaps it wouldn't be as same-y. You have a good start though!
