At least i'm glad to see this track and its comments ; some artists are still willling to keep this community as healthy and creative as possible, it's a good thing
You didn't miss much. Same old gatekeepers talking down to new artists who are figuring out the basics. (Even if those new artists talk a little shit themselves... lol it's all dumb)
i understand, i feel like i get treated like trash on here sometimes, and when the pop. artists wanna collab, i cant find time, and now they're on hiatus........ :(
The audiotool community has for sure degenerated into a toxic mess over the years. No doubt I've done my fair share of making it that way, especially on this subject. I'm sure most bass music artists on here can sympathize with that. It's way too easy to slink to the lowest common denominator.
Still love this place to death though, even the cringe.
I don't really like to make public stances on things like this but there's some weird stuff going on here in the comments that I want to at least provide more perspective on. It's definitely true that some bigger users (yes, some; not most like a few people have tried to put forward) have been leveraging higher numbers to make other users feel like they're not welcome here, it's a bit sad to see but I can definitely say with confidence that this isn't typically some random flex of status.
I believe you should be able to make music on audiotool however you like as long as it isn’t blatantly breaking the simple rules they’ve laid out as a way to protect themselves from copyright law, please respect the developers and their wishes so that our site doesn’t one day disappear overnight.
Yeah sorry man but that doesn’t really hold up considering artists in all genres are chasing clout and stealing shit all the time and everyone is kinda beat down equally for that. Again it’s really not about the music or the method of making it, those just happen to be what other users latch onto as a way to disrespectfully single out the trap community for the stigma they’ve gained
its not really all trap artists, the ones that are really looked down on are the ones that use only samples and don't make their own drum patterns or melodies or even 808 basslines
There is literally nothing new to say on this subject. I think everybody agrees with the statement that is in the description of this song. Yes there is nuance because some people are just shit. Please shut the fuck up 💈
