I was listening to the Oblivion soundtrack made by M83 and was hella inspired. I really liked the electronic approach to making an OST so I decided to try it as well and make something original. I tried hard to make sure I wasn't just copying M83 but injecting some of my own flavour as well. The challenge with this piece was building an atmosphere and soundscape while keeping a recognizable composition. I tried using multiple motifs to add depth to the composition but I got a long way to go when it comes to the art of using music to convey emotion.
