  • Immediately love the funky feel. I don't feel like the bass slaps hard enough though. You'd do well to learn about saturation for vibes like this. Really gives that bass the extra thickness it needs. I also may suggest trying to add some other effects to your sounds to make them more interesting. For example, I like the claps in your percussion (at 00:42 ) for example. Try spreading the pieces of your drum out a bit by panning them slightly left or right. or even get creative and automate panning

    • this a whole ass report brother

    • P.S. by the time you hit the 1 minute mark in this track, you should be dropping off a funky build into a dope ass bass solo or something. Maybe try using some jazz instruments like saxophone or brass as well

    • I also feel this track needs a proper melody/groove to really keep that funky feeling. Possibly a standup bass or a slap bass type of sound? because by the time 00:57 rolls around, I've completely lost interest in what I thought the initial vibe was, because the track never went there.

I also don't see any reason to put a dubstep tag on this. It's not dubstep in the least imo.

Hope this is helpful! Thanks for sharing, and stay classy <3
