I agree man, you have come a very long way. Sucks to see you get discouraged by the output but I can’t really blame you, it’s discouraging to myself at times too. If you move onto ableton or something lmk, I’d love to keep an eye on your work <3

This is a bullshit claim. At least in my case, where I have maybe a total of 10 people who actively listen to my stuff (thank you to those people, I love you guys).

So why am I saying this? Well, I'm coming up on 300, but at this point, it's just a number. I have seen no increase in engagement on my music since I started spiking. In fact, I've seen a DECREASE in engagement.

I'm not gonna concern myself with that anymore. I came to Audiotool to learn how to make music, and I'd say I've done a damn good job with the resources I've been given over the 4 years I've been pissing around with Audiotool, and I'm so glad that I have had the opportunity to show my music to anyone, let alone as many as those 10 people who do listen.

Eventually, I'm gonna probably move to Ableton when I feel that I am ready (and when I've completed my albums). But Audiotool will always have a special place in my soul.

No more milestones. No more remix competitions (nobody ever joins them, so why should I bother?). And no more caring about the numbers. That's not what I'm about, and I was starting to lose that view on music. Music is about expressing your emotions, and I've tried to be as expressive as possible over these 4 years.

well, this is sad to hear. Good new it that your "it's not about the number, it's about expressing yourself" view is spot on. But it's still nice to get some kind of verification that other people resonate with what you're putting out.

sadly your description details a lot of what audiotool is struggling with at this point which is people who don't appreciate others, regardless of their genre preference it's coming more and more clear that people have stopped caring about fellow artists...sure there's groups old and new that still make original content and really are making new boundaries for at but it's fading
