Using samples isn't necessarily a bad thing either. However, using ONLY samples is. Watch some tutorials on YouTube about synths on audiotool. Nice start and keep getting better yo :)

Well you know how to put things together which is a good thing. That's where it all starts. Don't be afraid to experiment with bpms, effects, and most of all, the machinist, and synthesizers. Making your own melodies and beats makes you original, unique, and it lets you unleash your creativity.
