No genre is superior, I just think that EDM is harder and more fun to make. And they didn't know what Clipping sounded like lmao - I hate it when people who don't produce judge certain genres lol

    i don't really think its worth deciding what genres are harder to make but its a scale for me

    scale of hardness/weirdness

    1. musique concrete/flashcore/noise/etc.

    2. idm/braindance

    3. breakcore/mashcore/l*licore

    4. some forms of edm

    5. mainstream edm

    nothing against edm but i rly don't see what's hard about it

    personally anytime i've made it i didn't feel like i was challenging myself all that much (except maybe a little earlier on)

    more than that tho i just don't think i could convey the messages i wanna convey through that style

    so i just prefer making other genres

    Not implying anything about this specific situation but I think this needs to be said somewhere:

    I feel like belittling people for disliking certain genres is just as pointless as belittling people for liking certain genres. Music is a universal passion and I think everyone is entitled to voice what they do and don't like--as long as they are respectful obviously. Additonally, with us being producers, our judgement may be more clouded than a casual listener because our standards are higher
