Not bad. I'd add a sine wave sub below the bass.
About the spamming. Just keep on developing your music and take an interest in other peoples music and it'll roll automaticly ;)

The melody you introduce at 1:37 fits much better with the bass than the notes at 0:13 . You can get away with the note choice at 0:13 and make it sound good, but it's really advanced and requires deep understanding of harmony and timbre. The drums probably sound a little sloppy because of where each sound starts in the sample. People will often use drum samples with a little space before the sound and then adjust where in the sample they begin playback (that's the bottom left knob on the machineste).
