Soundtrap song- this one was one I wrote recently based on a conversation I had with a new friend of mine about how we felt outcasted and different from other people growing up, combined with the "animalistic" and "escaping reality" themes I often like to incorporate in my stuff.
Oh yeah, I purposely changed my singing voice more for this one, because I was trying to go for a vintage-sounding singing voice (and I failed lmao but I still kept the vocals anyway).
Just felt like noting that if I could change one thing about this song, it would be making the guitar chords sound more natural, like how it should be played- unfortunately I don't know anything about how to play guitar, so I don't know what would be realistically possible to play, I came up with my own chords. If I ever remake this song at a higher level of musical expertise, that'll be the one thing I make sure to get correct!
*LYRICS*
You and I
We’re of a different kind
They don’t like our minds
They wish to lock us out of sight
Me and you
We play by different rules
They like to think we’re fools
And we are left unsure what to do
Maybe we can run away from here
Leave this world behind and make our own
Maybe we can make it out of here
Cuz this place just don’t feel like home
You and I
We’re of a different kind
They don’t like our minds
They wish to lock us out of sight
Me and you
We play by different rules
They like to think we’re fools
And we are left unsure what to do
Maybe we could get away from here
Spread some wings, soar off where no one knows
Maybe we could swim, descend, and shoot off down a river bend
I'm working on getting the audio files of the vocals for you right now! Did you want me to include the harmony vocals I added in the second part of the song, or should I just leave that part out?
Sure! Well, I'll give you the closest thing I can to the sheet music bc I'm not the greatest with writing it, what I can do for you is write down the name of the notes for the chords I made, or maybe send a screenshot of them on Instagram. At some point I can do the same thing here as I did with "Tired" and add a muted audio track with the vocals on their own here as well for you to remix to your liking :)
I'm mostly satisfied with this, but I wish I could go and edit the harmony vocals I added on here without having to redo the audio files and everything... I'll leave it the way it is I guess.
Fun fact, the harmony and the flute weren't part of the original track, I added them for the Audiotool version.
