I recommend everyone to read the works of Italo Calvino, they are amazing for the beauty of the prose, the philosophical depth, the creativity of the plots, the topicality of the themes, all seasoned with a surprising and light tragicomic vein. Four works out of all (strictly personal opinion): 'The Baron in the Trees', 'Cosmicomics', 'Invisible cities' and 'The Cloven Viscount'.
