3:46 - a buildup that has potential, but i still couldnt get ideas for. originally was gonna collab with retro on it too
4:25 - I had this draft for as long as shit

2:47 is one chord change away from working. You start a tonicization but don't follow the transition all the way through.

the thing is i never formally learned music theory, it came naturally to me. music doesn't have to be subject to typical music theory rules as music should be an expression of you. music should feel natural to you. thats just my opinion on the matter, and i could be totally wrong.

the wacky thing about music theory is it's sooo subjective. this tune seems pretty normal to me! sounds like it's in Eb major going

basically bouncing around between the 4 and the minor 3 before resolving.
the only thing that's at all unconventional is the A natural in the melody that holds at 3:10 which makes a crunchy half step from the bass when the chord changes to Ab. but i like it!! @Noir where did you feel the tonicization was leading to?
