This is a demonstration of the method I use to start equalising a sound. bars 1 to 9 in this template just show a single chord on a pad with a graphical eq where the volume is high and the qlty is narrow and this is `swept' across the frequency range. If you notice at around 400 to 2000Hz the sound gets really loud and nasty. These are our nasty frequencies which from bars 11 to 19 the same chord is played again but with these frequencies removed with a different eq. This is a useful method for getting really clean sounds and you can then eq the sounds however you want to afterwards.

  • Thank you very much, I had lot of problems with that while playing with pads. I never really got into EQ tool, but i will try to work out something now . Once again, thanks for sharing :).

  • very very helpful thank you !

  • This is a simple method which just relies on you hearing where the nasty frequencies of the sound are by boosting the level of them.
