  • agree with apoc i think the kick could be a little beefier. personally i'd slap on a tube to introduce some higher frequency content into the kick and then maybe an eq to control the highend after. but otherwise really dope

    • what do you mean by beefier? like more harmonics, or more chord layers? thank you for the feedback!

  • wow man

  • ooh thx for 2nd guys :)

  • it is a ton wider, and that glide is a super cool touch! also i can seriously tell, straight on, that you put in a highpass filter!

  • The bass On this is Way better- I think the original nailed the drums though

Also The original Feels alot wider Good job to them

    • thx man

    • ooh good ears, ur 100% right

    • The hats- And the original had a tiny bit of crunch on the kick just a tiny bit thats only noticeable if you listen for it

Also yours is like a bit loud

Kick and snare / By like 1 or 2 dbs lmfao

      hats by 1-2 as well

But honestly fiddle around with it untill it sounds "Natural"

  • I'd say your kickdrums could use an exciter right next to the stereo enhancer, and put the tone somewhere around 6100hz or higher then turn the power and dry/wet to the maximum settings at around 100%. This way it'll give the transient more punchiness and thickness when all the instruments play. It sounds a lot different in the studio but in the published you can't really hear the kick but I think it might just be my headphones.

    • time to dive in again haha

    • I also feel that in the very beginning of the song, the arp shouldn't be introduced until the few bars in. And instead should be the lead that you introduced later in the song.

    • Now from what EscapingReality mentioned I do agree that the counter melody that comes in at around 00:33 could use more reverb and in my opinion more of the ping pong delay. 01:40 sounds a bit sudden when you stopped the toms and the exhaust fx began the section. I think you could introduce a piano maybe at the end of the song. So when the piano plays by itself you can slowly fade it out and then at the very end you can use a different variation of an exhaust fx to end the song.

  • @EscapingReality got feedback on the mix and master on this? ur a bit of a synthwave nerd haha

little details make all the difference

  • On the synthwave bass that's playing throughout the song, I would turn the pregain on the waveshaper at around -7 or -8 dB because it's pretty harsh sounding. And then on the pulv arp I would high pass it on the curve eq at around 138 or 140hz. Although you won't really hear the bass anymore but it makes the other instrumentation sound much cleaner in my opinion. It's a bit softer too when the other stuff plays with it as well. Now on the counter melody lead high pass it at around 379hz.

    • alright, i'm here :)

    • In a couple minutes i would love to. Gotta finish breakfast rq haha

    • Would you like me to tell you in voice call? I'm currently not doing anything rn
