It's funny, I never really know what I'm going to produce. After setting my project up, I'll just start putting sounds, kick, snares, loops, samples, basses, and beats together, testing things out, seeing what all sounds good and rolling from there. Sometimes, I have an idea or a certain vibe for a project, but mostly I'm going in and experimenting. Some tracks are better than others, but that's the fun of being a producer. We have that freedom to keep trying new and different things.
Another fun fact about my production techniques is, when I'm in between projects I'll jump into FL Studio, for all the different instruments that I have available including the Serum plug in. That's also where I record all my samples and then upload them to Audiotool. So when I'm not in Audiotool, I'm busy working with all FL Studio's Pro Tools and Instruments. Then when I'm feel I'm ready, I'll start a setting a project up in Audiotool. LOL...
