I went into the remix and I think the main problem is the main chords which are a bit too high pitched and the drums also don't really need the equalizer that much either

I would say that majority of the synths are taking up all the high frequencies causing it to be so loud. I recommend separating them and mixing. Mixing is really important especially if you want multiple synths to be structured for good sound design. Add a bass. use an exciter if you have to and sidechain your kick. mix your percussion. I think a lot of people forget to mix your percussion. Your percussion always has like random sound that is usually not needed.
