Don't say another word in your defense. Don't bring me further into your regret.
Your insecurity is starting to show. You keep adjusting for a fragile ego. You'll run away with your tail between your legs. You think you're better; you're better off dead.
You're such a fucking piece of shit I can't believe you're over it already. You're here making me unsteady.
(We might) Don't say another word in your defense. (have all but seen your hand until you make amends) Don't bring me further into your regret (give you exactly what you get when you invest)
You are the weight that you hold on your shoulders. You made your bed now you wish it was over. You can't escape at the end of the day. A life is wasted on a man of decay.
The humanize function on midi helps a lot. I use some pretty basic techniques from drum machines with the "accent" samples on hard and soft notes mainly on the kick and snare sense they're the main focus. The ARK.hat samples are wonderful cause they work in so many different styles so long as you get dramatic with the velocity of them.
I was watching a video on vocal mixing and they brought up how you need to use different compressors for different jobs. It kind got me that i do that for vocals (pre compressed then ran through the gravity) but that i don't do that for my mix ( fast and slow multibands ) so i tried it out and I've really been missing out.
I think the quantum is honestly just as good as any other digital multiband and all of the parameters are easy enough to understand. Now we get into all of the fine-tuning that comes with mastering which is always a challenge when you're also mixing your own tracks.
Yeah I definitely know what you mean. At some point I'll really set down the time to seriously learn what all everything does and how it functions and all, though at the moment I just use them very simply without much modification lol. I dunno, I can definitely tell a difference in the over all quality of your work for sure though, I've been noticing that over the past little bit as you've released more and more stuff.
I'm getting a bit better with the mastering tools. If i can ever chain together two or 3 multiband comps together without weird crossover then I'll be good to fix the mix to a more dynamic feeling. I'm still getting familiar with those new tools
