There are ways you should do science to get the best accuracy, ways to do science to get the best value, ways to get the best returns, and ways to get the best of basically anything. Be warned that some methods may have negative consequences. Science isn't just about learning new things, it's also learning how to apply those new things as well as reduce the impact of potential costs. People have lost their lives during their contributions to science, sometimes at the hands of their experiments, sometimes at the hands of people who disagreed with them. But along the way, we did learn from their contributions as well as their mistakes and the mistakes of those around them, although it is unfortunate that their circumstances were quite horrific.
