I think your melody sort of clashes with itself. Like, it doesn't really harmonically "fit" well together. If you don't want to use samples but still want a good melody then i would recommend finding a good chord progression (you can just look one up online) and then keep your melody within that progression. Like, you could have a CM, FM, Em, and Am progression, and then make all your notes coincide with those chords, if that makes sense. Nice job on the track though!

Last time i tried this, i thought i was too good that i didn't need samples but boy was i wrong
