A dead draft from over a year ago that I wanted to add vocals to but could barely come up with lyrics for a song. I also got stuck with the instrumental, don't know what else to do with it for now so I'm publishing it as it is, hoping to get feedback and suggestions. It's cool if I don't get any as well, I just want to get this out there so that maybe more ideas will come to my mind for it seeing it at the top of my page. I would still like to turn this into something bigger with lyrics one day.
This track was supposed to represent my feelings of wanting to literally escape my reality, longing to figuratively board a shuttle and head out into space, away from my world. I guess it could sorta be a metaphor for every time I space out, or get lost in though/daydreams, or whenever I've dissociated and lived on autopilot, that sorta thing.
By the way, I'm aware of the sucky sound design quality lol
Edit: I added a melody played by an unedited Heisenburg to fill in for the vocals that should be there. I'd like to add in vocals one day, I haven't given up on this track.
Lowered the bass a bit; added a melody played by an unedited heisenburg to fill in for the vocals that should be there. I'm currently working on lyrics, partially done.
I also edited the panning during the chorus/buildup or the song, and added a sample of a countdown.
I can see why you thought that, I believe it crossed my mind as well and I just forgot to type it before lol. I don't think it's exactly similar but I understand your thought process behind it, I believe these tracks are both in the same key.
Cool! I like the melody a lot. Love the how the sub hits in the beginning- gives the intro a really nice atmosphere- you mixed it p well too. I like the embellishments a ton. Ofc, bass design for your chords could be better, and prolly mixed down tbh- it doesn't have to be that loud. I would suggest a sine with a saw with a bit of distortion for the design. I would also be using the quasar reverb- it sounds a bit cleaner and less metallic than the original verb.
Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! I'll definitely keep this in mind when I'm ready to fix the track and turn it into a full song like I originally planned :D
