working on chords and things but drums are set I think

i think something that is super important in funk is keeping the listener's attention to that 16th note. it doesnt always have to be sounding, but its vital to have that 16th there.

My favorite funk group is Vulfpeck. they've got some really good classic styles. If you're looking for inspiration, i highly recommend checking them out. Their bassist is super talented.
