The two run through a field, laughing as dandelion seeds fly around them. Sal grabs Shen's hand. "Hey, you trust me, right?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Okay- let your wings out! I promise I won't let anything happen to you."

Shen looks around, a familiar pit of anxiety bubbling in his gut, but it fades away when he looks back at Sal.

"Trust me."

"..Okay."

The pack falls from his back. His wings shine red in the afternoon sun. Shen takes his hand, stretching his own wings, and then they fly.

Though it's been so long since Shen's flown, Sal's there to hold him steady. They dance and twirl in the air, and after a few minutes, Shen lets go of Sal's hand, whooping and flipping through the air.

Unfortunately, he smacks stomach fist into a tree branch, winding himself and falling to the ground with an "Uff-!"

"Shit, you okay?" Sal quickly flies down next to him. Shen tries to catch his breath and hold back the giggles shaking through him.

"Man, that was. Shit dude, I.. should've done this.. forever ago! I forgot how.. how free it feels.. to fly," he manages to gasp out.

"Yeah, but it feels like shit to knock the breath out of yourself. You good?"

"I think so.. yeah, I'm good." Shen takes a moment to make sure he's not really hurt, standing and dusting himself off- Sal starts laughing. "What?"

"You've got dandelion seeds everywhere. Gran'll kill you if ya get those in their plant pots, here- I'll help you get 'em off."
