try playing around with the machiniste. in my experience, using small, simple oneshot samples can work wonders if you tweak them a little bit.

good to see some experimentation. pretty good melodies in here too :)
make sure you're picking the right effects for the job tho. the phaser and flanger have fairly limited use. the tube distortion should be used lightly or only when really needed.
