Yeah, I've just been playing around to see what kind of sounds I can get out of those things with different pedals. Thanks for the advice, I'll try that once I get some free time.

Instead of using distortion pedals, try to just sharpen the waveform, that should give a "bitier" sound that you're probably looking for.
