refav ;D, yeah totally agree with drone on this one, if it sounds good go with it :D I approach theory as just a template to start with and change riffs till I think they sound good. If you get too obsessed with scales and chords it can limit your creativity I say, although I'm one to talk I almost always write in blues minor keys lol.
