    you'll want to keep the vast majority of bass notes in or above octave 1

      For me C-1 is hard. C2-3 are the easiest to do and sound the best. Zomboy, C-2 growls. Excision, C-3 growls.

      it varies. But it's hard to make a bass in octave 0 work out

    Sounds good, but for a growl its not got a lot of movement. Try changing modulation amounts or do what i do and have a high resonance high pass for more vowel shape.
