Here we are, breaking away from the mainstream

Progressing torward a safer city in our daydreams

Reminiscing on the times before the twerk

Music was meaningful and it took some hard work, instead

We get these washups with no class and an IQ the same

A wasted industry. What a shame.

But I'm not going to let music die without me playing a part

in a musical revolution saluting the music that stuck in my head and heart.
