Are you referring to the note name? According to Modular Samples (the user on freesound.org providing the sample) it's a C2 and note number 36. However, judging by the audio alone, this is incorrect and it should instead be a C1 (Scientific Pitch Notation) which is note 24. My hypothesis on why the given note was incorrectly labeled is that they've sampled a preset that's transposed one octave down and not bothered to listen to the actual note being produced.

I have actually done a similar thing a couple of years ago when composing for wind band. Of course, I could not include the sample in its raw form since I could not use electronics, but instead I used it as a first seed of inspiration and tried to incorporate different features of the given audio file into the final composition, such as rhythms, melodic contours of the dialogs etc.
Yes, this is indeed all the requirements. While most of the challenges had some sort of technical obstacle, as a contrast, this is more open-ended and has more of an artistic obstacle.
