RAHHHH!

Turns out I still like to dabble in heavy music.

Here's Lriders version of this KILLER

(This was originally his song I remixed it and then he challenged me to finish the song and see who could finish it better.)

  • First question: Did you mix this well? I mean, I'm no expert, but I'd say it's mixed fairly well. It certainly sounds way better in terms of quality and clarity than the original did. The tearout sections are cool, but they're a bit boring in terms of really good tearout. I just feel like there's usually more movement in the synths, but this is a really good start.

    • Also I'll see what more side chain does for this. I personally find this interesting so I might add some more stuff to it like more synths and drum patterns but I probably won't make a full track with this because I didn't really plan to and I don't have a clue what I'd do after what I've done lol.

    • Honestly this isn't even a song really, it was more of a challenge Lrider gave me. He said to add more (I originally remixed his idea) and then created this thing and then added on to it some more. I honestly don't listen to tearout so I had no clue what I was actually going for but I do know some deathstep because it's similar to dubstep just more aggressive and tearout is like a more aggressive deathstep Imo. I honestly don't know what good tearout because I don't really vibe with the genre.

    • there's some great youtube videos out there for how to do this, I can share a few that I have found useful, if you'd like. Just lmk! I hope this crit is helpful!

Overall, nice work, just needs a little more love, I think.

  • if this is tearout it needs a pan snare lmao

    • I think everytime I try and make tearout I make deathstep instead lmao

    • I kinda went more deathstep instead haha

  • Lmk what you guys think :)

  • Republished

    Some changes again

  • Republished

    Did somethings

  • also either the kick is way too loud or the snare is too quiet

    • (I also added sidechain but should it be more noticeable?)

    • Does it sound better now? I added sidechain and fixed the drums (I think, lmk if the drums are missing something)

    • I'll have to check that out
