Ayy thank you! I've never really tried making tearout much tbh and I didn't spend to much time on this, is there any tearout songs you'd reccomend or have that you could show me?
Damn hits just as hard when i acedently let an ice back slide out of the freezer when i opend the fridge door and it fell on my toe and it broke it so now ive been hollbiling with crutches all day T^T
First question: Did you mix this well? I mean, I'm no expert, but I'd say it's mixed fairly well. It certainly sounds way better in terms of quality and clarity than the original did. The tearout sections are cool, but they're a bit boring in terms of really good tearout. I just feel like there's usually more movement in the synths, but this is a really good start.
Also I'll see what more side chain does for this. I personally find this interesting so I might add some more stuff to it like more synths and drum patterns but I probably won't make a full track with this because I didn't really plan to and I don't have a clue what I'd do after what I've done lol.
Honestly this isn't even a song really, it was more of a challenge Lrider gave me. He said to add more (I originally remixed his idea) and then created this thing and then added on to it some more. I honestly don't listen to tearout so I had no clue what I was actually going for but I do know some deathstep because it's similar to dubstep just more aggressive and tearout is like a more aggressive deathstep Imo. I honestly don't know what good tearout because I don't really vibe with the genre.
there's some great youtube videos out there for how to do this, I can share a few that I have found useful, if you'd like. Just lmk! I hope this crit is helpful!
Overall, nice work, just needs a little more love, I think.
