great vibes, enjoying the atmosphere
Long gaps between publishing... sorry guys. I've had this one in my drafts for awhile but never got around to polishing it up. A natural successor to an older track of mine, Transmigration Jubilation. Lots of borrowed elements, but taken in a different direction. No idea what genre I'd put this in.

That's a very good way of explaining this. I might go in and experiment with a different sample for the open hat or possibly an adjustment or two to the tone could still help. At first I just rolled back the level a bit but I see now what you are pointing out. Thanks for the critique!

Hi Merle, for me it is still not quite in balance with the closed hihat. I mean, think of the open and the closed hihat as one instrument which has this two modes. It should sit in the same "offset in depth" in the mix. But nevertheless, this is a great track and I was just caught by this little detail, since I thought it would make your excellent drums sound even more realistic.
