I started doing the synth, then I went on to the details like delay and things like that. then I left for the bass, I was a little excited about a video I had seen and I had the idea of writing it like this.
so I had the idea to change the style of music in the middle, like a glimpse, and then there was the edm part that you listen to.
in it I started doing the bass, then I went to the synthesizer quiz to make a sound with a touch more similar to songs from 2016-2017, and so it was.
love the gate-style EDM, definitely up my alley of interest, so to speak. you did a nice job with creating an atmosphere, and the delay on your stabs are nicely blended. If I could offer a critique, I'd like to hear a white noise build or even a note pitch blend at the breaks where it goes back into the chorus (
1:12
and
2:35
), that'd be neat.
oh! one more thing, I can hear this really soft plucking sound in the background, but it's just a bit TOO soft, maybe bring the dbs up on that and throw it on a phaser or pulsar delay like I explained previously
another suggestion, since I can't open things in the DAW, try widening your main synth by increasing detune or unisono count to 2 and pair it with a stereoEnhancer effect pedal. do the same with your white noise builds except you can use a chorus/reverb combo or running it through the PulsarDelay but turn your feedback knob down to like 15% or lower. Hope these help on your next track! Def gonna follow ya!
i like the panning you did on your stabs/arps as well, and they sound fine, but sometimes i find it fun to throw a phaser on there at a low mix level, gives it just a bit more depth.
