The overall track is a bit out of key, not sure if you mean to do that or not. If you want to fix this, try brushing over your basic scales. You might also want to try building bigger chords. I looked into your track and your intro chords only seemed to have 2 notes, which is probably why they sound a bit weird. You know what this means man; practice, practice, practice! <3
Haha that actually is true. Using phase modulations is how most of the artists on this site make fatter sounding chords, but you also need a grand amount of knowledge in mixing and mastering to be able to properly balance out your track and make it sound smooth.
I like the lo-fi atmosphere at the beginning. Then it gets very weird (which is a compliment, for me, most of times, like this time, haha). This track has so many different segments, it's safe to say you got a lot of ideas coming out and, as Head say down there, I can't say for sure if the weirdness was on purpose or not, because there ARE some bits where it makes sense. For me, first, it's a matter of playing and giving attention to the best segments and working them up.
