there is potential, i can feel it, now this mix is a bit muddy, ignoring that it's a little outta key, (learn scales, they'll make the most beautiful melodies ^_^) i would use the slope tool on low note instruments, and use the highpass option, Highpass is a method mixers use to completely mute lower frequencies, if you have too many lower frequencies it can make the mix a bit muddy and make it very difficult to hear everything

i wouldn't get rid of the bass, it's there to add foundation to the song, im just saying use some highpass on it and the lead so it's all got it's own space in terms of the frequencies they're using

, i would lower the volumes of the background instruments, and highpass the more bass like instruments a bit more to get rid of the mud, and place the melody in proper key, if the key at least gets done, i can imagine this will be a very good track ^_^
