major sounding progressions in minor key really give it that "wistful" sound. i wanted to make a song that reflected how avicii has impacted my life making music, and how much i miss him. it's a bittersweet representation of my appreciation for all he has done with music <3
I really liked that I was able to hear all of the elements throughout the song and nothing was drowned out. I only take a point off since the lead in the second half of the drop was a little bit harsh in some frequencies, and also the drop felt like it could have been a little bigger/wider. That's mostly nitpicking though, overall great job on this front
again, nothing crazy here. All of the sounds you created worked well in your track. I liked the use of a real piano as well. point deducted just because it is relatively basic, there's nothing super complex about the sound design, and plus you used presets (albeit your own) instead of creating fresh sounds in the track. Still sounds really nice though
while the long intro does provide a nice feeling, it remains stagnant for a long part of it. Some subtle background changes or melodic changes would have been nice. The melody that you provided in the second half of the drop was really nice and complemented the original melody well. I also like the ending on a different chord
certainly different enough from the original and the other entries (which there are none of at the moment lel) i will say that a long melodic intro and a emotional midtempo drop isn't exactly daring, but it does the job nicely and doesn't directly copy anything
you kept the original melody throughout the whole song, but mixed up the chord prog along the way and differentiated nicely from the original. Not much to be said here, great job!
wow this is crazy! love the atmosphere the intro creates, really like the piano that's used throughout, and the drop is super nice sounding. I really enjoyed your rework of the original chords. Great job!
