So this challenge has come to an end.
At this point I would like to point out again that the samples are now freely available in the library.
Just use the tag kitchen to find them.
I recorded several sounds in my kitchen.
The challenge: Create a track only with the given samples!
The Samples are given as audiotrack in the timeline and additionaly in the machinistes.
The samples are divided in four categories to get a better overview.
Rules:
- No other samples are allowed (except vocals as long as the vocals are not used as rythm element)
- No Synthesisers or drummachines (except for the machiniste as long as it is used with the provided samples)
- You can use any type of tool, mastering or effect device
- You don't have to use all of the samples
- You can do everything with the samples. Edit them as you like (as long as you do it in the audiotool studio)
- Track minimum length 1 minute, maximum length 4 minutes
Tip: In the Machiniste you can duplicate Samples by doing a right click. So you can use the same sample with different settings at the same time.

I found all the contests so far very interesting. The combination of limited opportunities and the spirit of competition. I found the Kitchen contest particularly successful, or better, it was fun to match the sounds to what you usually do. And to take each sample and see what you can do with it. It's probably the same feeling as being a professor in genetic engineering.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the challenge!
It was a great pleasure to see and hear what you made of the samples.
In the end I collected 47 remixes (including my own) in my album (link is only visible to registered users)
38 tracks competed for the challenge.
I'm so glad that the decision on the win is made by a jury, because it would be very difficult for me to decide on my own. So many entries just turned out incredibly well!
i wonder whos gonna win
My Entry is submitted. I read the rules carefully and just made some catchy drum lines. Also, I made the track sound like it's a YT video lol.
oups too late for my entry ...
entry submitted!
are we allowed to use synthesizers as an envelope control, as long as no sound is being generated from the synth itself?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, im intrested
u spelled length wrong in the desc
cucumber hell
new hardest drum kit just dropped
So we cant add more samples but can we add more audiotracks and/or machinistes if we have seperate samples that need different effects and stuff? I'm a bit confused
are you allowed to remix someone else's entry and enter it as your own, assuming it's transformative enough? I probably don't plan on doing this, but it's just a question that cropped up. Some people have really inspiring ideas and I don't want anyone wasting time on a something that isn't a valid entry
I need my chromebook.
Badly.
