most speakers/headphones have some sort of native mix bias. That's why having studio monitor speakers/monitor headphones is useful because they only play "honest" sound. Exactly what the generators are telling it to produce.
Usually in professional production producers go back and forth between studio monitors(honest sound) and several reference monitors(regular speakers/headphones) to make sure the mix is best for listening, and not just from a technical standpoint
