    @ATИ [rmxComp.exe] . The 808 is famous because of it's kick drum, which has that familiar low rumble (as well as its other sounds). It has a long history alongside old school hip hop, and when the trap scene started in the southern U.S, it was a popular drum machine. Here's an example of an old school 808 hip hop track.
