Thanks! =) Most of my sounds have been surprisingly easy to make, at least for me they have been. But yeah it can take up a lot of time, I just happen to have sort of an overabundance of it atm & I love fiddling with all the little knobs & buttons... ahem... I mean the UI, hehe. ;p Sometimes, on my way to making one kind of sound I'll discover another really cool one, so I save a bunch of presets as I go. I've made several visible.
There's an experiment in my profile phasing harmonies from a single sin wave. All the sounds are handled with eq, reverb, etc, to create distortions that create harmonies that i hedle again with more eq. it's interesting the effect on hats and pads, beside the obvious creation of new sounds...
Great information, thank you! I'll definitely experiment with that. I just reloaded all those samples last night & have been waiting until morning for it to finish re-publishing, which it never did. I'll have to try again here in a minute. Also, preview of a new track right behind it. :D
Hi EleexJelly. Your samples are ok. Maybe what you need is to work a little their harmonies. e.g. if your hats are tuned D (147Hz) try eq Dx6; Dx7; Dx8 (D6; D7...)
@ 882Hz and 1029 Hz are the harmonies that you should eq in a tuned D hat, using a sharp parametric eq around +7 db. Check your hat's tune, find it's harmns and start having fun!
I'll need to get back on this soon. A couple of mistakes are still bugging me & I'm not satisfied with those hats. I bounced some more (a lot more) different ones so maybe they'll sound better.
