Entry for Audiotool Summer Games 2023, week 9:

Didn't really follow the rules and did the piano and pulsar thing together.

Idea behind making the piano sound:

- Start with a single Pulv as a base, it's simple to configure and can get pretty close to a nice sounding rhodes piano sound.

- Use a waveshaper to extract more frequencies and add some sharpness

- Use a compressor with a slow attack to emphasise the percussive transient of hitting a piano key

- Use a gate to filter out unwanted trailing sounds

In practice:

- Don't really know what I'm doing and fiddled with many knobs and devices until I got close enough.

Limitations:

- Works best on the two octaves I tested with on my tiny midi keyboard. Lower octaves sound too smooth, higher octaves sound distorted.

- Not much dynamic range and can't really hold notes or it starts to sound distorted

Otherwise pretty happy with it. I can't play the piano so did a simple melody and then messed around with a couple pulsars to create some wacky sounds.
