God gave us science, a mass of logic and reasoning used to argue and prove different things about the universe and its workings. It is the tool by which progression is made possible. We can't use science to prove or disprove God's existence, he made sure of it. Religion isn't science, and science isn't religion. While science is about proof, religion is about faith.

Something that people have a hard time understanding about science these days is that it is open to argumentation and unbelief, that it is open to people to prove something wrong. There is no "trust the science", there is only "find the higher-quality variation of the truth". Also, if we are harming each other over science and "trust the science", then we are only proving our own degeneracy and lack of connection to true logic.
