I made it a point to never look back.
It's been 6 years since this came out, which is crazy to think about.
I know this sound is something many of you cherish. It's something that I cherish.
This song, and this album gave me purpose. It made me realize that I'm real , real as a person and as a woman. Making music has been an amazing journey so far and I am so ready to experience the next chapter with all of you.
I made it a point to not overdo it.
I wanted all of my creations to have and always hold the meaning that I wanted them to have.
And I hope that because of the artistic direction I have taken the past few years, that all of you will be happy to hear me applying my new knowledge, while also taking time to return to my roots
I made it a point to not make my creations repetitive. The energy that lives within these songs is something that still lives within me. I am so ready to finally use my voice and pursue deeper exploration and expression of emotion within my music. There will be more songs like these. I never wanted my music to become stale to you guys. I went deep into experimentation and wanted to bend sound to my feelings and emotions. But now, I am ready to apply everything I've learned
